O Video Music Awards 2013, premia��o da MTV dos EUA, aconteceu neste domingo (25). Os primeiros vencedores da premia��o, anunciados ainda no "pr�-show", antes do in�cio da festa, foram Pink, Nate Ruess (vocalista do Fun) e 30 Seconds To Mars. Selena Gomez foi a primeira vencedora anunciada durante a festa, levando melhor clipe feminino.

Pr�mios t�cnicos foram concedidos a v�deos de Justin Timberlake, Janelle Mon�e, Capital Cities, Bruno Mars e Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

Lady Gaga abriu a cerim�nia com a primeira apresenta��o ao vivo da m�sica "Applause". A festa tamb�m teve um breve show de reuni�o do N" Sync com Justin Timberlake ap�s 11 anos.

Timberlake foi o grande vencedor da noite, levando para casa o pr�mio principal, de melhor clipe do ano, por "Mirrors", al�m de receber uma homenagem especial por sua carreira. "N�o mere�o este pr�mio, mas n�o vou devolv�-lo", disse o cantor, ap�s receber o trof�u das m�os do apresentador de TV Jimmy Fallon.

A dupla Macklemore & Ryan Lewis levou tr�s pr�mios, incluindo o de melhor clipe de hip-hop. Taylor Swift e Bruno Mars tamb�m foram destaques. Outras atra��es da noite inclu�ram Miley Cyrus num dueto com Robin Thicke, Kanye West e Katy Perry, que apresentou seu novo single, "Roar", sob a famosa ponte do Brooklyn.
